Delivery Information

Thank you for shopping with Golestan. Here is the information you need to make sure your item reaches you smoothly.

1. Shipping fee and shipping area

  • Free shipping: All items ship free anywhere in Japan.
  • Shipping area: Within Japan only. We do not offer international shipping.

2. Carrier and delivery method

  • Delivery method: Primarily home delivery, brought to your door.
  • Carrier: Primarily Yamato Transport (other carriers may be used depending on circumstances).

3. Delivery date and time

  • Estimated delivery time: As fast as next-day delivery. Actual timing depends on your order, when payment is confirmed, your delivery area, stock, traffic, and similar factors.
    • Delivery estimates assume one parcel and one carpet per order. Larger items, multiple-item orders, or distant addresses may take longer than usual.
    • The final delivery date is fixed once we have confirmed payment.
  • Dispatch timing: We typically send a dispatch notification email within 24 hours of confirming payment (excluding weekends, public holidays, and our scheduled closures).
  • Time-of-day specification: You can choose a delivery window at checkout. Available windows are shown on the order screen. For deliveries to companies, offices, or other non-residential addresses, requested windows may not always be honoured.

4. Tracking your delivery

Once signed in, you can check the status of your order under "Order history". The main statuses are:

  • Awaiting payment: We are waiting for payment confirmation.
  • Preparing for dispatch: Payment confirmed; we are preparing to ship.
  • Dispatched / in transit: The item has shipped and is on its way to you.
  • Delivered: The item has been delivered.
  • Returned: A return has been processed.

5. Important notes on receiving your item

  • If you are out: An "attempted delivery" notice will be left. Please request a redelivery from the carrier.
  • Extended absence, address issues, or refused delivery: If an item is returned to us, the order may be cancelled automatically. Round-trip shipping and any associated fees may be charged, so please take care with your delivery details.
  • Parcel locker: At the carrier's discretion, your item may be left in a parcel locker.
  • Registered details:
    • Recipient name: Due to label-printing constraints, please enter up to 6 characters each for family name and given name.
    • Address: Please put the building name, room number, company name, and department in the correct address fields. Missing information is a common cause of delivery delays.
  • Delivery restrictions: Overseas delivery and "hold at carrier office" requests are not accepted.

6. Reservations and payment (bank transfer)

Stock is held (reserved) for you as soon as you select a payment method during checkout. For bank transfer, please note the following.

  • Transfer request: After ordering, please transfer the order amount by the date given in our confirmation email.
  • If your transfer will be late: Please contact us in advance. If we cannot confirm payment within one week of the order and have heard nothing, we may cancel the order.
  • Account name for the transfer: Please use the same name as the one registered on your order. If the name differs, payment confirmation may be delayed or may fail.
  • Transfer fees: Borne by the customer.
  • Over-payment: If you transfer more than the order amount, we will refund the difference less the bank-transfer fee. If the difference is smaller than the fee, we are unable to refund.

7. Other notes

  • Cancellation due to stock issues: If we cannot secure an item due to stock shortages or sourcing difficulties, we may need to cancel the order. We will get in touch promptly and arrange a refund where appropriate.
