This piece is from the Sadeghzadeh Workshop, made of Qum silk. "Shekargar (hunting motif)" is a classic among classics, weaving traditional themes of Persian miniature painting into a rug. The central circular panel depicts three horsemen, fleeing deer, wolves, and gazelles, birds flying in the sky, and mountains with rocky surfaces. A floral wreath surrounds the circle like a frame, and the four corners feature small animal scenes in semicircular cartouches. The weaver's signature is at the bottom.
