This piece is from the Mirmehdi workshop, known for its refreshing light blue ground and intricate floral and avian patterns among Qom silk carpets. At the center is an oval medallion (turquoise + golden yellow + intricate pink floral patterns). The four corners feature lachaks (corner motifs). The entire field is densely packed with colorful flowers, with small birds subtly woven throughout. This piece reinterprets the classical lachak-o-tranj (corner and medallion) design in a refreshing aqua blue.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Only with 100% fine silk threads can one distinguish the overlapping petals of the oval medallion, the contours of the lachaks in the four corners, and even the blue and purple of the birds' feathers. The aqua blue shimmers with the angle of light, and gold and pink emerge, a characteristic expression of silk.
