This is a work by the Milmehdi workshop, which specializes in eclectic designs combining a bright blue ground with Western-style ornamentation, even among Qom silk products. A golden-footed vase (Gholdan in Persian) is placed in the center, with pink roses and red chrysanthemums rising from it, and golden Rococo arches are arranged above, below, and on both sides. This piece reinterprets classic Persian vase motifs in a French palace style.

The Precision and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is made of 100% fine silk threads, you can discern even the thin gold lines of the vase, the overlapping petals, and the delicate gold lines of the Rococo ornamentation. The blue deepens with the angle of the light, and the golden vase and light blue vines emerge, a characteristic expression unique to silk.
