Description
When placed in front of a chair, a large lobe-shaped medallion emerges from the deep olive-colored background, surrounded by intricate vines and flowers. The border is also in the same olive color, creating a stylish, toned-down landscape.
Samadi Workshop's Medallion (Rachak o Tranji)
This is a work by the Samadi workshop, which excels at hand-weaving combining silk and wool from Qum. It is a rare Persian rug that features "olive green" (a deep yellowish-green) as its main color. At the center is a radiating lobe-shaped medallion, with small diamond-shaped sun motifs inside, graceful vine and flower panels on all four sides, and golden rachaks (corner pieces) in the corners. This piece combines a classical composition with a toned-down color palette that fits modern interiors.
Two Textures: Wool and Silk
The base is made of durable wool, with silk interwoven into the decorative elements. The charm of this rug lies in the "smoked silver" appearance, where the silk shimmers and stands out against the matte wool fabric when it catches the light. The fluffy thickness and elasticity unique to wool also provide a comfortable feel underfoot.
Placement in Your Home
The size of 103x167cm is perfect for the foot of a personal chair, bedside, or around a desk in a study. The olive color pairs well with wooden furniture and houseplants, and when combined with Scandinavian or vintage furniture, it further enhances the space. This is a refined piece recommended for those who dislike flashy colors but find plain rugs uninspiring.
This is a one-of-a-kind item personally selected by the shop owner at the workshop in Qum. You can see the actual luster, intricate details, and the different textures of wool and silk in the video. Golestan Persian Rugs.

Colours That Shift With the Angle
