Description
This is a large Baluchi rug featuring geometric motifs across a crimson background. Their traditional designs are fully displayed on a spacious 170 x 256 cm surface.
Traditional Baluchi Designs
This is a rug from the Baluchi people, who inhabit an area spanning eastern Iran and Afghanistan. It features a masculine color palette based on deep crimson and dark brown, characterized by guls (flowers) and geometric motifs. Their rugs are rustic yet sturdy, and their texture deepens with prolonged use.
100% Wool, Hand-Woven Warmth
The pile is wool. It is traditionally made from wool shorn by the Baluchi people from their own sheep. With approximately 320,000 knots per square meter, the weaving is fine, and the outlines of the patterns are clearly defined.
Placement Guidelines
Measuring 170 x 256 cm, this large rug is suitable as a center rug in the living room or as a focal point in a reception room. Its strong color scheme of deep crimson and dark brown pairs well with chic interiors and dark wood furniture.
