With its central bazaar and numerous workshops, the intricate weaving that carries on the tradition of court decoration is still preserved today. This piece is a classic design woven in the Tabriz workshop lineage.

With approximately 510,000 knots per square meter, the outlines of the patterns are sharply defined. The variations in knots, unique to hand-weaving, create subtle expressions in how light reflects off the surface. Tabriz carpets are robustly constructed with dense, intricate weaving, and they become more familiar with extended use.
