Decorations in the hallway. It's hard to see them from a distance, but it's nice to feel the soft silk carpet every time you pass by ( ◠‿◠ )♪.

It's fun to see how the colors change dramatically depending on the angle you look at it from, from the right or the left. I think this design is a magnificent work of art. I could look at it forever. Thank you for the wonderful carpet.

It's not framed, but I will send you some pictures of the process and a whiteboard I used at the 100 yen shop.

As the width of the carpet was almost exactly the same as the board, we layered two pieces to make it 10mm thick and placed it on the baseboard, then used 5 pieces x 2 = 10 pieces to cut the height up to the ceiling height.

I glued the polystyrene pieces together in pairs with glue and connected them with tape, then bought wallpaper with the same pattern and stuck it on top, and secured it to the wall with thin nails.

I cut the carpet to 450mm x 5 pieces, and the height was about 225mm. The carpet is quite heavy, so it sags forward, so I had to fix it to the wall with nails. The nails are 16mm.

The wallpaper covers the sides and is cut at the wall. (The pins visible on the surface of the picture are temporary pins.) My biggest concern was how to secure the carpet. I used Ray's double-sided tape to secure it in place, both vertically and horizontally.

Without this, I might have had to use thumb tacks to hold it in place...!? After that, I fixed both ends, attached them on double-sided tape, and covered the surface with film to prevent dirt.

I'm pretty satisfied with how the carpet's surface can be touched with your hands, and how it can be neatly decorated on the wall without being as extravagant as framing (^^)v! The panels cost 1000 yen for 10 panels, and about 2.5m of wallpaper? How much was it? Glue for styrofoam was 100 yen, and the wallpaper was made from dissolved wood glue, and the nails were about 200 yen, and the Ray double-sided tape was a bit pricey... several thousand yen? Probably less than 10,000 yen. Maybe over 5,000 yen...? It requires some effort, a little bit of carpentry knowledge, and the determination to do something about it...

Now I can touch and look at a nice carpet every day, it's the best! It was a lot of hard work! It's an amateur job, but I hope it will be helpful (◠‿◠)

Hello. It's been a while. I've been cleaning up and have repasted the torn paper screens, so I'm sending you a photo of the small version of the "Tree of Life" design.

Originally it was a 6-tatami multipurpose Japanese-style room, but it has now been remodeled and is being used as a room for my niece, who is in the first year of junior high school. With the tokonoma alcove, sunken ceiling, nageshi (rail-shaped wooden beams), and yukimi-shoji (paper screens), it looks quite traditional from some angles.

But as she is a preteen girl, her belongings are filled with TWICE, SUPREME, MILKFED, DISNEY, Ojamajo Doremi, cosmetics, etc.

The carpet that was given to us naturally harmonizes with the "Japanese modern" style, the silk feels great under the feet, and is a big hit with my niece.

When I told my niece that in Persia, girls of her age weave art and crafts like this to help with her dowry, it seemed to have some thought.
