Customer Feedback

Today, I spent such a long time looking at Persian rugs that I practically wore a hole in them.
It's strange how I can look at them for so long and never get tired of them.
It's not like the scene changes continuously,
nor do the patterns change.
Persian rugs are truly fascinating.
These are wonderful Persian rugs that even convey a sense of dynamism. I will make them a family heirloom.
Thank you very much.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for your inquiry via our website and for choosing works from the Jamshidi and Albar workshops.
We believe that the ability to gaze at the same scene for an extended period without growing tired is a mysterious power unique to hand-woven carpets.
The reason that the viewer's gaze remains fixed is likely due to the craftsman's hand movements being imprinted in the accumulation of dots and lines.
We hope you will cherish them as a family heirloom for many years to come.
We look forward to serving you again.

Customer Reviews

This is the third one I've purchased, and I'm very satisfied with this superb product. The green color is wonderful, and the details of the hunting pattern are magnificent.
The intricate weaving of the animals' bodies, right down to the smallest details, fills them with dynamism, making it a product that brings a sense of calm just by looking at it.
I would like to use your services again.
Although the photo turned out dark, the magnificence cannot be fully expressed in a picture.
Thank you very much.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for your continued patronage and for sharing your kind feedback.
We are relieved to hear that you are satisfied with the hunting-patterned cork silk from the Mirmehdi workshop, which took some time to procure, as your third piece.
The dynamism depicted in every corner of the animals' bodies is a work that reveals more discoveries the closer you look, so we believe you will never tire of admiring it daily.
Please enjoy it for many years to come. We look forward to your continued business.

Customer Review

Good evening. It's not perfectly set up yet, but I've already displayed the rug. ^_^

Once I can arrange it more properly, as the surroundings are a bit cluttered, including how I photograph it,

I'll upload it to the internet.

The texture is truly smooth, and the colors and patterns are wonderful! ^_^

I hope to cherish and use it for many years to come.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for purchasing three rugs and for your delightful feedback.
We are pleased to hear that you are displaying three of Milmehdi's atelier's finest mixed-pattern pieces side by side on your bedroom wall.
It is our utmost pleasure to know that you can feel the smoothness of the silk and the harmony of the colors and patterns.
We would love to see photos of the arranged rugs when you have time.
We look forward to your continued patronage.

Customer Review

Regarding the masterpiece from Milmehdi Kobo that I acquired from you previously,
the custom-made wooden frame with full acrylic from Shinjuku Sekaido
arrived around the spring equinox this year.
It shines in the morning sun, making my commute to work a joy every morning.
The framing cost, including shipping, was 39,050 yen, which was more affordable than I expected.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for sending us such wonderful photos and happy news.
It is truly an ideal place for the rug to be, with the framing from Shinjuku Sekaido completed around the spring equinox, and it now brightens your morning commute as it reflects the morning sun.
The framing cost of 39,050 yen was indeed a surprisingly good deal.
Now, regarding the meaning of the Persian poem written on the rug you inquired about.
ابر آمد و مه بر سر سبزه گریست
"The clouds exhausted the sky and cried over the vast green grass and flowers."
بی بادهٔ گلرنگ نمیباید زیست
"Without the wind, the blooming roses cannot live."
این سبزه که امروز تماشاگه ماست تا سبزهٔ خاک ما تماشاگه کیست
"Today, these blooming flowers are our place of enjoyment. Next, as long as our land (grave) is green, who will be the beholder?"
The poem is by the 11th-century mathematician and poet, Khayyam, and conveys the sentiment that one should not worry about the ways of the world but rather cherish and enjoy the present moment.
I believe that with the poem inscribed, the rug has become even more tasteful.
We look forward to serving you again.

Customer Review

I received a wonderful rug from Milmehdi Kobo.

It took a while to find a pattern I liked, but I was so happy when I finally found the perfect one.
Last time, I placed it in the entryway, but this time I boldly framed it and displayed it.
Placed in a spot where I can always gaze at it, the more I look, the brighter my mood becomes.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for your second purchase and for sharing your wonderful feedback with us.
It took some time for you to find the pattern you desired, but after adjusting the price as much as possible on our end, I am most delighted that you were finally able to acquire a piece you are satisfied with.
This piece, depicting lively flowers and birds from Milmehdi Kobo, was one of my personal favorites, and I completely understand the feeling of one's mood brightening the more they gaze at it.
Your enjoyment has expanded from using it in the entryway last time to framing it this time.
We look forward to serving you again.

Customer Review

I tried laying it down right away.

The deep blue color is wonderful.

Thank you very much.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for visiting our store, making a purchase, and for your kind feedback.
We understand you deliberated between brown and blue, but judging by its combination with antique furniture, we believe you made the right choice with the deep blue.
Deep blue is a color that lowers the center of gravity in an interior, so we're sure your entire room now appears more serene.
We sincerely look forward to serving you again.

Customer Review

It's strange, but even if I place my everyday Baluchi rug extremely close to the curtains,

perhaps because their personalities are so different, there's no sense of incongruity.

(I've used it so much that the fringe is starting to fray.

I'll probably fix it soon.)

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for your report and your kind feedback.
It's wonderful to hear that your everyday Baluchi rug coexists so harmoniously with your modern curtains, without any sense of incongruity. We believe this is a testament to how well the rug's character blends into your space.
Using your rug so much that the fringe starts to fray is exactly what a rug is made for – to be a part of your daily life.
Please feel free to contact us when you decide to have it repaired.
We look forward to a long relationship with you.
お客様の声:ウィリアム・モリスと調和する「生命の樹」ペルシャ絨毯

Customer Review

Good morning, Golestan. Thank you for sending the package with such meticulous care.

I tried it in front of the Kawashima Selkon Kelmscott Tree pattern curtains. This is an English design by William Morris's daughter (1891), and since it's the same tree of life motif, I was a little apprehensive about whether it would blend in or clash.

Although not visible in the picture, the white wallpaper is Lilicala's Aviary, an English motif (from 1900 onwards) with birds and flowers scattered throughout. The lace is Morris's Willow Bough (1887), which seems to go well with anything.

Indeed, by placing it in the center of the room, a little distance from the curtains and furniture, it harmonized beautifully. However, I can't capture that scene well with a pulled-back shot. If I try to include the whole thing, the angle distorts, and the impressive scale is completely lost.

As for the other silk rug, I intended to examine how that blue would glare under sunlight, but I ran out of time yesterday. I've learned quite a bit and I'm confident I can take good photos, so please bear with me for the web-ready ones for now. This time, please accept this as a report of its arrival and my thanks. (I'm considering the blue silk rug for a guest room in my niece's Japanese-style room, or as a tapestry in this living room.)

I've always used various types of unscented Mr. Lloyd products because they are excellent for preventing yellowing and mold.

Thank you for your careful instructions.

Thank you for everything.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for visiting the recent exhibition and for your detailed and insightful report.
I was deeply moved by your story of how the William Morris daughter's Tree of Life (1891) curtains and the rug from the Mirmehdi workshop, with the same motif, harmonized without clashing in the same room. It's a wonderful coincidence that both Britain and the Middle East independently developed the "Tree of Life" motif around 1900, and I'm impressed by the spaciousness of your room that can accommodate both.
The choice to place it in the center at a distance is also something the shop owner can learn from.
Please take your time with the photos of the blue silk rug. Your ideas for using it as a guest rug in a Japanese-style room or as a tapestry are both wonderful.
Your advice about Mr. Lloyd is very helpful to me as well.
We look forward to your continued patronage.

Customer Feedback

I made it into a tapestry.

It looks great.

Thank you very much.

Comment from Golestan

Thank you for traveling a long distance to visit us the other day, and for sending us such wonderful feedback.
We are relieved to hear that the tapestry you created, both in size and pattern, blends in well with your room.
We believe that a lightweight tapestry, rather than a framed piece, makes it easier to redecorate and allows you to enjoy it for a long time.
We look forward to your continued patronage. Please feel free to contact us anytime if you have any questions.
