This composition features a deep red field bordered by a series of small panels on a beige ground. By shifting the ornamentation away from the center, the design allows the field color itself to take center stage, a clean and uncluttered approach typical of nomadic weaving.

"Kaf Sadeh" Composition with an Open Center

This composition, featuring a large open central field with ornamentation concentrated around the perimeter, has been woven by the Qashqai people around Shiraz. Known as "Kaf Sadeh" in Persian, this design highlights the field's color and the texture of the wool itself. The deep red, calm tone adds warmth to any space.

100% Wool, Handwoven by the Qashqai Tribe

The pile is made of wool. With a largely plain center, the natural variations in the wool and the subtle color gradations of the dye become the rug's defining characteristics. The irregularities of hand-tied knots create a warm texture that machine-made rugs cannot replicate.
