Yalameh Triple Medallion

Yalameh (or Yarmeh) is a nomadic weaving group active in southwestern Persia, around Shiraz. Their signature design features a vertical arrangement of black diamond medallions on a red ground, characterized by clear color contrasts.

100% Wool, from Their Own Sheep

The pile is wool. With approximately 320,000 knots per square meter, even the fine patterns within the medallions have clear outlines. The natural irregularities in the knots, characteristic of handwoven pieces, create a rustic warmth that machine-made rugs lack.
