When laid at the entrance, a large oval medallion emerges from a deep navy background, with roses blooming on a turquoise field within it, and small lozenge-shaped vase (pot) motifs arranged at the four corners and top and bottom. It is a simple piece, yet when viewed up close, the intricate details of the flowers become visible.

Rahmani Workshop's Rose Vase Pattern (Rose Pot)

This piece is by the Rahmani workshop, specializing in Qum silk. It features the classic "Rose Pot" composition, with multi-colored roses on a turquoise background within a central oval medallion, and small diamond-shaped vase motifs at the four corners and top and bottom. Both the field and border are a uniform deep navy, enhancing the accent colors of the roses and turquoise. A genuine product, the weaver's signature is inscribed in Persian at the bottom.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is made of fine 100% silk threads, every detail, from the petals of the roses in the center of the medallion, the outline of the diamond-shaped vases, and the intricate decorations of the border, to the signature at the bottom, is discernible. Depending on the angle of the light, the deep navy sinks deeply, and the turquoise and rose pink emerge, creating an expression unique to silk.
