When laid at the entrance, an octagonal star medallion radiating light emerges in the center of the navy ground. Upon closer inspection, large blue paisleys (boteh) stand in the four corners, and intricate flowers are scattered throughout the entire field, creating a scene like a starry night sky and a flower garden confined within a single carpet.

This workshop specializes in blue grounds and geometric medallions among Qom silk carpets. On a deep navy ground, a medallion of an octagonal star radiating light (a concentric circle structure of light blue + gold + red flowers) is featured in the center. Large blue boteh (paisleys) stand in the four corners, with intricate flowers woven within them. This piece is a reimagining of the classic Lachak-o-Toranj (corner & medallion) pattern with a night sky motif.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is made of fine 100% silk threads, every detail, from the rays of the octagonal star and the flowers within the paisley to each individual flower in the field, is discernible. The navy deepens with the angle of the light, and the central blue and gold shimmer, creating an expression unique to silk.
