When laid at the entrance, a large eight-pointed star emerges on a purple and lavender ground, with a radial sunburst pattern at its center. It's a modern art-like scene, with a nebula-like swirling ground and neon-colored flowers scattered across a black border.

Modern Medallion by Bighi Workshop

This piece is by Bighi Workshop, known for its original designs even among Qum silk products. It features a multi-ring sunburst pattern at the center, with an eight-pointed star medallion extending outwards. The ground is woven with swirling ripples that flow from purple to lavender to turquoise. The border is black with small flowers, and the four corners have neon-colored floral cartouches. This piece adds a modern kaleidoscope or starry nebula fantasy to a classic medallion composition.

The Intricacy and Sheen Unique to Silk

Because of the fine 100% silk threads, every single ring of the sunburst pattern, the outline of the eight-pointed star's medallion, the swirling ripples of the ground, and the nuances of the small flowers on the border are discernible. Depending on the angle of the light, the purple deepens, and the turquoise and neon of the small flowers emerge, revealing the unique expressions of silk.
