When laid out in an entryway, a large golden vase is set upon a deep navy background, from which roses, lilies, dahlias, and small flowers rise up in full bloom. Small birds hide among the leaves, and the border features golden arabesque designs on a navy ground. It's a scene like a painting of paradise laid on the floor.

Vase Design (Goldani) from the Kashizadeh Workshop

This is a one-of-a-kind, best-ever piece from the Kashizadeh workshop, known for its exceptional weaving among Qom silk carpets. Adopting the classic vase design (Goldani) composition, a large golden vase is placed at the bottom of the canvas, from which flowers and plants rise like a tree of life. Pink and red roses, yellow lilies, purple irises, and green leaves shimmer against the deep navy background, with small birds chirping in the shadows of some leaves, forming a miniature painting of paradise. The border features gold Rococo-style ornamentation on a navy background, with golden shield-shaped cartouches in the center top and bottom. This piece adds the narrative quality of a paradise scene to a classic vase design.

Because it is woven tightly with fine 100% silk threads, one can discern the overlapping petals of the roses, the shading of the leaf veins, the wings of the hidden small birds, the intricate details of the golden vase, and even the fine gold lines of the border arabesque.
