Description
The closer you get and the more you focus your eyes, the more you can make out the hunter on horseback, the running beasts, and other details. This is a narrative piece, woven like a painting on a navy blue ground.
Shekargah (Hunting Scene) by Maazahel Workshop
This piece is from the Maazahel workshop, known for its narrative designs among Qom rugs. It depicts a hunter drawing a bow on horseback, galloping gazelles and lions, pheasants flying in the sky, and a castle and mountains in the background. It is a classical Persian narrative rug called a "Shekargah" (hunting scene), depicting a scene from a royal hunt. Because of the density of colors and shapes, the more closely you examine it, the more new figures and animals you will discover.
The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk
Because it is made of fine 100% silk threads, you can discern even the expressions on people's faces, the saddles of horses, and the fur of animals. The way the shades of navy blue subtly change with the angle of the light is also unique to silk.
For Use as an Entrance Mat or Wall Hanging
56 x 89 cm is a standard size for an entrance mat. Due to its strong narrative quality, many people frame it and use it as a wall hanging. Silk is tightly woven, so it repels fine dust, is less prone to static electricity, and daily maintenance only requires a vacuum cleaner.
This is a one-of-a-kind item selected from Qom and brought to you. You can check the actual luster and detailed story in the video. Golestan Persian Carpet Specialty Store.

Colours That Shift With the Angle
Thanks to the silk's sheen, the rug's character shifts with the viewing angle and the light.

The Reverse Side
