Description
Looking closer, you'll notice a procession of elephants, horses, and figures along the top and bottom borders. Combined with the central sunburst medallion, the entire rug tells a story, like a single parade.
Albar Workshop's Medallion and Animal Procession
This is a piece from the Albar workshop, known for its intricate weaving among Qom rugs. A large oval medallion is placed in the center, with a sunburst-shaped radial structure inside. The field is adorned with multicolored floral patterns on a navy and purple background. Furthermore, unique hidden images of elephants, horses, deer, and figures forming a procession are woven into the top and bottom borders, creating a composition that reveals more the longer you gaze at it. It is an original piece that superimposes Persian court stories onto a classic medallion pattern.
Silk's Unique Intricacy and Sheen
Because it's made from 100% fine silk threads, you can discern the radial pattern of the central medallion, the outlines of the animals in the border, and even the posture of the figures. The way the navy and purple subtly change expression with the angle of the light is also unique to silk.
How to Incorporate into Your Home
At 100x157cm, it's the perfect size for the foot of a reception room or bedroom, the center of a hallway, or framed as a wall hanging. Since silk is tightly woven, it repels fine dust, is less prone to static electricity, and daily maintenance only requires vacuuming.
A one-of-a-kind piece, carefully selected from Qom. You can see the actual sheen and details of the hidden images in the video. Golestan Persian Rugs Specialist.
