Description
When laid at the entrance, a blue and gold circular medallion appears to float in the center of a turquoise field. Tiny white flowers bloom densely across the entire field, and diamond-shaped pendants at the top and bottom tighten the composition.
Albar Workshop's Circular Rosette Medallion
Among Qum rugs, this workshop specializes in refreshing turquoise grounds and high-density medallions. In the center, a blue ground features golden-yellow rosettes (circular flowers) layered in concentric circles, with cloudband-style vines tracing their outlines. The entire field is a turquoise ground with delicate white small flowers, and the border is a blue ground with gold vines, giving the whole piece a cohesive look. This rug reinterprets the classic Lachak-o-Toranj (corner and medallion) design in a refreshing turquoise.
Silk's Unique Detail and Luster
Only with 100% fine silk threads can one discern the overlapping petals of the rosette, each tiny white flower in the field, and even the fine gold lines of the vines in the border. The turquoise shimmers with the angle of the light, and the blue and gold stand out.
How to Incorporate into Your Home
At 59x90cm, this rug is the perfect size for an entryway, bedside, as a center rug next to a sofa, or framed as a wall hanging. The refreshing turquoise complements both white walls and wooden floors, adding a bright and calming focal point to any space.
This is a one-of-a-kind piece personally selected by the shop owner at a Qum workshop. You can see the actual luster and intricate details in the video. Golestan Persian Carpet Specialty Store.
