This piece is from the Albar workshop, known for its delicate use of color even among Qum silk products. It features a classic Kashan-style "Lachak o Toranj" (corner + medallion) composition, with a nearly white cream field and a soft beige border, creating a bright yet dignified color scheme. A large oval medallion is at the center, with a multi-ring sun emblem inside, lachaks in the four corners, and intricate blue and red floral arabesques scattered across the entire field.

The Intricacy and Sheen Unique to Silk

Because it is woven tightly with fine 100% silk threads, one can distinguish the sun emblem in the center of the medallion, each individual flower scattered across the field, the outlines of the lachaks in the four corners, and even the continuous floral pattern of the border. Depending on the angle of the light, the white gains a luster, and the blue and red accents stand out, an expression unique to silk.
