Description
When unrolled in a reception room, the field reveals itself to be divided into vertical and horizontal panels, each weaving a different story. It's like an album with trees, vases, boteh, and floral patterns arranged in a row.
Heshti Pattern from Majidi Workshop
This is a work from the Majidi Workshop, which is highly regarded for its Heshti (panel pattern) craftsmanship even among Qum rugs. The field is divided into vertical and horizontal panels, each woven with different classical motifs such as cypress trees, vases, boteh, and mihrab-shaped trees. The border features floral patterns on a red background, tightening the colorfulness of the field. The material is a blend of cork wool (the first fleece of a lamb) and silk, resulting in a finish that possesses both luster and softness.
Intricacy and Luster Unique to Cork Wool & Silk
Because the threads are fine, you can distinguish the motifs in each panel and the detailed floral patterns in the border. The way each color subtly changes its expression depending on the angle of the light is also a characteristic of threads containing silk.
How to Incorporate into Your Home
The 100 x 150 cm size is perfect for a reception room or at the foot of a bed in a bedroom, as a hallway runner, or framed as a wall hanging. The multi-colored panels add warmth and splendor to a room, and it's a piece that can easily match both Japanese and Western-style rooms.
A one-of-a-kind item selected from Qum. You can see the actual luster and details of each panel in the video. Golestan Persian Carpet Specialty Store.

Colours That Shift With the Angle
Thanks to the silk's sheen, the rug's character shifts with the viewing angle and the light.
