From the sun motif at the center of the medallion to its outer edge, roses, paisleys, and eslimi densely cover the entire field, revealing individual roses as you get closer.

Salyan Workshop Rose Medallion (Diamond with Dense Roses)

This piece is from the Salyan workshop, made of Qum silk. It features a deep blue diamond medallion in the center, with a multi-colored sun motif inside. On a sky-blue ground, pink, red, and purple roses, paisleys, and vines are densely arranged, while the border showcases a continuous pattern of intricate flowers and roses. This is a splendid piece that reconstructs the classical Lachak Toranj composition with a dense arrangement of roses.

100% Silk Luster and Intricacy

Because it is 100% silk, from the sun motif at the center of the medallion to the individual roses densely packed in the field, the tips of the paisley leaves, and the intricate continuous floral pattern on the border, details become visible as you approach. The silk's luster changes with the angle of light, with sky-blue and rose pink alternately shimmering, a true hallmark of Qum silk.
