Description
This is a hand-woven wool rug with a traditional medallion composition, born from the nomadic way of life. Around the central medallion, plant and livestock motifs are scattered, contrasting beautifully with the ground color.
Abadeh's Traditional Medallion
The authentic Abadeh region in the south, located between Shiraz and Isfahan, is a traditional production area. The classic composition features a geometric medallion on a deep crimson ground, and this piece is a prime example of that lineage.
100% Wool, from Their Own Sheep
The pile is made of wool. With approximately 180,000 knots per square meter, the patterns are clearly defined. The unevenness of the knots, unique to hand-weaving, creates a depth and warmth that machine-woven rugs lack.
Placement Guide
The size is 100 x 150 cm. It's a moderate medium-small size, perfect for an entryway, bedside, next to a sofa, or under a desk in a study.
