Description
On a deep red background, a grid of panels is assembled, with small motifs of livestock, trees, and geometric patterns arranged in each section. The rich colors of red, yellow, cream, and navy are densely packed, creating a nomadic design.
Garden pattern from the Ghuchan region
This composition has been woven by Kurdish people in the area around the town of Ghuchan in Eastern Khorasan Province. Each square of the grid contains a different image, offering new discoveries the more you look at it.
100% wool, made with their own sheep's wool
The pile is wool. With approximately 180,000 knots per square meter, even the outlines of small motifs are clearly defined. The irregularities in the knots, characteristic of hand-weaving, create a rustic charm not found in machine-made rugs.
Placement in your home
The size is 100 x 150 cm. This is a suitable medium-small size for an entryway, bedside, next to a sofa, or under a desk in a study. The deep red background makes it easy to match with wooden floors and solid-colored furniture.
