Description
Cream-colored windows open up inside a dark green field, with orderly rows of small horse and cypress motifs. Each horse has a different posture, and the cypresses stand straight. It's a simple, narrative design.
Nomadic Designs that Depict Daily Life
This is a repeating pattern of horses and cypresses, woven by the nomads of the Khorasan region. The horse is a symbol of nomadic life, and the cypress is a tree that represents eternity. Unlike urban designs that feature large crests in the center, this composition depicts life itself as a pattern.
100% Wool, from Their Own Sheep
The pile is wool. With approximately 320,000 knots per square meter, even the outlines and manes of the small horses are clearly defined. The unevenness of the knots, characteristic of hand-weaving, creates a depth that machine-woven rugs lack.
Placement in Your Home
The size is 150 x 200 cm. It's a good size for a center rug in front of a three-seater sofa or as the main feature in a study. The deep green color blends well with wooden floors, and it would also make an expressive rug in a child's room.
