This design is based on the finely curved medallion originating from Arya Workshop. Floral motifs and arabesques are intricately woven into the central medallion, and the detailed craftsmanship of Tabriz is evident throughout the entire piece.

Tabriz, an ancient city in the authentic northwestern region, is the production center most frequently mentioned in the history of Persian carpets. With its central bazaar and numerous workshops, the intricate weaving that carries on the tradition of court decoration is still preserved today. This piece is a classic design woven in the Tabriz workshop lineage.

Intricate Hand-Woven, Sturdy Construction

With approximately 510,000 knots per square meter, the outlines of the patterns are sharply defined. The variations in knots, unique to hand-weaving, create subtle expressions in how light reflects off the surface. Tabriz carpets are robustly constructed with dense, intricate weaving, and they become more familiar with extended use.
