When placed in a narrow space, a navy circular medallion and a golden sun motif emerge from the gentle salmon pink ground. Vases extend from the salrachak above and below the medallion, and in the four corners are silhouettes of mosque gates and fawns. A deep bordeaux border tightens the entire composition.

This piece is from the Masoud Jamshidi Workshop, renowned for its Qum silk carpets. This runner size (47 x 117 cm) features a condensed Rachak Toranj composition, characteristic of the Jamshidi family. On a salmon pink ground, a navy circular sun motif medallion is surrounded by yellow cartouches extending from the salrachak above and below, leading to vases (goldani) and intricate arabesques. In the four corners are silhouettes of mosque gates and fawns, and the border is adorned with continuous intricate floral patterns. Weaver's signature cartouches are found at the top and bottom ends.

100% Silk Luster and Detail

Because it is 100% silk, details become visible the closer you look, from the sun motif in the center of the medallion, to the salrachak vases, the mosque gates and fawns in the four corners, and the intricate arabesques in the border. The luster of the silk changes with the angle of the light, and the gentleness of the salmon pink and the depth of the bordeaux alternately emerge, which is the true essence of Qum silk.
