This is a silk piece dyed with botanical dyes, a practice continued only by the main lineage of the Jamshidi family, the Mohammad Jamshidi workshop, among all Qom silk carpets. The theme of this work is "Night Garden"—on a deep, almost jet-black ground, calm golden, pink, green, and purple flowers unique to botanical dyes are scattered, with a brown oval medallion and sarlachak in the center. The deep, non-turbid black, gentle golden brown, earthy red, and deep indigo cannot be achieved with chemical dyes. The overall quiet harmony, despite the use of many colors, is due to the natural resonance between botanical dyes.
