When unfurled in the reception room, a large Tree of Life rises from a deep blue ground, with two peacocks facing each other at its base, and colorful small birds chirping on its branches. It depicts a paradise scene with over 10 types of flowers such as roses, dahlias, and jasmine blooming profusely.

The Tree of Life (Peacock Paradise) from Mirmehdi Workshop

This is a work from the Mirmehdi workshop, renowned worldwide among Qum silk carpets for its sense of color and detailed expression. The owner himself fell in love with it and selected it as one of the "Rare Masterpieces" that would be extremely difficult to acquire again in the same quality. The "Tree of Life (Drakht-e Zendegi)" symbolizes an oasis, a paradise dreamt of by people living in arid regions. This piece features a large tree rising from a deep mixed blue ground, with two peacocks at its base, multicolored small birds on its branches, and a continuous floral pattern with birds facing each other on the border. It uses several times more colors than other Qum silk carpets, with realistic expressions where flowers and feathers appear to rise three-dimensionally.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is made of fine 100% silk threads, you can discern the peacock's tail feathers, the birds' wings, the shading of the flower petals, and even the continuous floral pattern on the border. The deep blue recedes at different angles of light, while the blue of the peacocks and the multicolored flowers emerge, creating an expression unique to silk.
