Sedighian Workshop Vase Medallion

Among the many workshops in Qom, Sedighian is a trusted workshop known for the fineness of its weaving. A large oval medallion is placed in the center, with a vase (gholdan) motif inside, and symmetric lachak (corner crests) in the four corners. The field has a navy blue ground with scattered colorful floral patterns, and the borders feature reddish-brown floral patterns that tie the whole piece together. While it is a classic design, the color scheme has a modern sensibility, making it easy to match with both Japanese and Western spaces.
