When unfurled in the reception room, circular medallions emerge from a deep, vibrant red field, with vase (gordaan) motifs inside and intricate floral patterns on the perimeter. The rich red, accented with gold threads, creates a distinguished scene.

This is a masterpiece from the Sedighian workshop, a renowned producer of Qom silk. The owner himself was so captivated by it that he selected it for his "Collection of Irreplaceable Masterpieces," stating that it would be extremely difficult to obtain the same quality again. It combines the classical Lachak-o-Tranj composition, named "Goldan & Tranj (Vase + Medallion)," with a color scheme centered on a deep, vibrant red. Inside the central medallion is a vase motif, with lachak in the four corners and intricate floral patterns spread across the entire field. This piece, woven over a long period, exudes a regal formality.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is made with tightly woven fine threads of 100% silk, one can discern the vase in the center of the medallion, the slender stems of the floral patterns, the outlines of the lachak in the four corners, and even the continuous floral motifs in the border. The deep red darkens and the gold threads emerge depending on the angle of the light, a characteristic expression unique to silk.
