While typical paisley carpets arrange boteh as a continuous pattern, this piece features a single giant paisley filling the center, with its interior depicted like a painted scroll. Within the paisley, trees, small birds, small animals resembling gazelles, and flowers are intricately drawn. The ground outside also features vines, countless flowers, and small birds. A vibrant array of colors is sharply framed by a blue border, with "sarlachak" (finishing bands) and thin story bands above and below. This piece cleverly plays with composition, condensing the world of paradise garden motifs into the form of a paisley.

The Luster and Detail of 100% Silk

Because it is 100% silk, the details become more apparent the closer you look, from the trees and small birds inside the paisley to the vines outside and the intricate continuous flower pattern of the border.
