Description

Hang it in your entryway or on a wall, and a bouquet of flowers rising from a large vase (Gouldani) will appear in the center of the cherry-blossom pink frame. At the top, a domed palace; on either side, arched gates; and at the bottom, a narrow garden strip. It is a single rug, depicting a Persian paradise garden like a painting.

Mohammad Jamshidi Workshop's Original Vegetable-Dyed "Castle and Vase Garden"

Among Qom silk rugs, this is a silk piece dyed with vegetable dyes, a practice continued only by the Mohammad Jamshidi workshop, the main lineage of the Jamshidi family. The colors, such as cherry blossom pink, pale young green, deeply clear indigo, and gentle golden brown, cannot be achieved with chemical dyes. Despite using many colors, the overall impression is harmonized, precisely because the vegetable dyes naturally resonate with each other. A bouquet of flowers rising from a large vase in the center, a domed palace at the top, arched gates on either side, and a garden strip at the bottom—this is an original design that recreates the composition of a "paradise garden," reminiscent of Persian miniatures, in a silk rug.

The Luster and Detail of 100% Silk

Because it is 100% silk, the closer you get, the more details become visible: the ornamentation of the vase, the domes and windows of the palace, the columns of the arched gates, and even the tiny flowers in the garden at the bottom. The luster of the silk changes with the angle of the light, causing the cherry-blossom pink frame and the colorful central scene to emerge—this piece expresses the true essence of Qom silk using vegetable dyes.

How to Incorporate It into Your Life

At 59x91cm, it is a suitable size for an entryway mat, a framed wall decoration, in front of a desk in a study, or by a bedside. The cherry-blossom pink frame complements both white walls and wooden floors, adding a narrative painting to the space. This piece is perfect for those who want to enjoy a story like a painting, unlike medallions with subdued color schemes.

This is a unique item personally acquired by the shop owner directly from the Mohammad Jamshidi workshop in Qom. You can see the actual luster, vegetable-dyed colors, and details of the palace and vase in the video. Golestan, a specialty store for Persian rugs.
