The scene of looking up from directly below at the ceiling (Gombad) of a mosque in Persian architecture is depicted on the rug, with intricate floral and geometric patterns woven into each radiating rib from the central rosette. To make the turquoise background stand out, the outer edge is accented with a deep blue border.

Because it is woven tightly with fine 100% silk threads, every single radiating rib, the geometric patterns of the central rosette, the small continuous domes in the four corners, and even the border's floral patterns are discernible.
