This piece is from the Nouri workshop, known for the delicate use of color in their Qum silk carpets. It features the classic "Rachak o Toranj (corner + medallion)" composition, with a turquoise field and navy border, and gold, pink, turquoise, and red flowers scattered across the entire field. The central sun medallion has a multi-ring structure, with pink rose bouquets at the top and bottom, and rachak (corner motifs) at the four corners. The rhythm of the colors makes for a pleasant piece.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is woven tightly with fine 100% silk threads, every single small flower scattered across the field, the sun medallion in the center, the petals of the rose bouquets, and even the intricate continuous floral pattern on the navy border can be discerned. The turquoise changes as if breathing with the angle of the light, and the navy border sinks deeply, creating an expression unique to silk.
