This piece is from the Noori Workshop, known for its delicate use of color among Qom silk carpets. At the center is a star-shaped (octagonal) medallion, with a rosette inside and "rachak" (corner designs) in the four corners. Polychromatic arabesque flowers are scattered across the entire field, revealing more intricate details the closer you look. The meticulousness woven over many months becomes more apparent as you get closer.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is woven with fine 100% silk threads in a dense weave, you can distinguish the rosette at the center of the star-shaped medallion, the multi-colored flowers scattered across the field, the rachak in the four corners, and the intricate decorations of the navy border.
