Hang it in your entryway or on a wall, and the deep royal blue ground divides the vertical canvas into six panels, each featuring a unique pictorial story. The Tree of Life, Mihrab (prayer niche), vases, medallions—it's a scene that offers the pleasure of comparing different compositions within a single work.

Bagerzadeh Workshop's Panel Design (Kheshti)

This piece is from the Bagerzadeh Workshop, known for its Qom silk carpets. "Kheshti" (panel) refers to a composition where the canvas is divided into square frames, each containing an independent design. In this work, the six panels feature, respectively, the Tree of Life (with a fawn and birds), a medallion, symmetrical architectural ornamentation, a vase (Goldani), a sun medallion, and a Mihrab (prayer niche) with a two-column vase composition. Along the upper and lower borders, a series of small animal silhouettes (elephants and deer) are depicted.

100% Silk Luster and Detail

Because it's 100% silk, the fine lines of vines embedded in the royal blue ground, the deer and small birds within each panel, the vase decorations, the sun pattern on the medallions, and even the small animals on the border become visible in exquisite detail the closer you look. The luster of the silk changes with the angle of the light, and the depth of the blue, along with the contrasting colors (pink, gold, green), stand out—a characteristic expression unique to Qom silk.

How to Incorporate into Your Life

At 61x98cm, it's a suitable size for an entryway mat, framed as wall decor, in front of a desk in a study, or beside a bed. The deep royal blue ground complements both white walls and wood floors beautifully, adding a narrative artwork to the space. This piece is ideal for those who prefer to read multiple stories within one artwork, as opposed to a composition focusing on a single medallion.

This is a unique piece that the owner directly acquired from the Bagerzadeh Workshop in Qom. You can see the actual luster, the details of each of the six panels, and the depth of the blue in the video. Golestan Persian Carpet Specialty Store.
