Description
Upon closer inspection, large flowers like roses and peonies, woven densely into the black background, appear to rise individually. The central medallion is small, structured to float subtly in a sea of flowers.
Mir Mehdi Workshop's Rose Garden and Medallion
This is a work by the Mir Mehdi workshop, renowned among Qum workshops for its delicate use of color. Pink, red, green, and blue roses and peonies are densely woven into a deep black background, with a small circular medallion placed in the center. The "Golfarang" style, or Western floral pattern, is an elegant lineage that incorporates the sensibility of 19th-century European floral painting into classic Persian motifs. The entire field unfolds like a flower garden, making for a piece that you'll never tire of looking at.
The Precision and Luster Unique to Silk
Because of the fine 100% silk threads, the contours of each flower, the veins of the leaves, and the details of the stamens are all discernible. The way the colors on the black background change expression with the angle of light is also unique to silk.
How to Incorporate into Your Home
The 147x230cm size is perfect as a center rug in front of a three-seater sofa or as the centerpiece of a reception room. The calm black background makes it easy to match with both Japanese and Western-style rooms, and the rose pattern adds a touch of splendor to the space.

Colours That Shift With the Angle
Thanks to the silk's sheen, the rug's character shifts with the viewing angle and the light.
