Description
When displayed in your entryway, the cream background with a profusion of red roses and a central medallion immediately catches the eye. This is a meticulously crafted piece, with the artisan's signature woven in Persian near the fringe.
Rose Medallion by Rajabzadeh Workshop
This piece is from the Rajabzadeh workshop, known for its delicate floral patterns even among Qum carpets. The cream field features a central medallion and four corner spandrels (lachak), with red and pink roses and green leaves densely woven across the entire field. A deep wine-red (dark red) border tightens the overall composition. This is a "Gol Farang" style composition, reinterpreting the classic medallion layout with the sensibility of 19th-century European floral painting.
The Detail and Luster Unique to Silk
Because it's made from 100% fine silk threads, you can discern even the overlapping rose petals, leaf veins, and the characters of the signature near the fringe. The way the contrast between cream and red subtly changes with the angle of the light is also unique to silk.
How it Fits into Your Home
At 104 x 150 cm, this rug is the perfect size for an accent rug in the living room, a reception room, at the foot of a bed in a bedroom, or in the center of a hallway. The bright cream background makes the room appear more spacious, and it complements both Japanese and Western-style rooms.
This is a one-of-a-kind item selected from Qum. You can see the actual luster and intricate details in the video. Golestan Persian Carpet Specialty Store.
Colours That Shift With the Angle
Thanks to the silk's sheen, the rug's character shifts with the viewing angle and the light.

The Reverse Side
The true worth of a Persian rug is revealed by its back. The finest Persian rugs are tied with around 10 knots per centimetre — a fineness that reaches the level of art.
