When unrolled in the reception room, a Tree of Life rises from a pink background, with numerous small birds perched on its branches. A vase sits at the bottom center. The more you look, the more birds you find, creating a paradise-like scene.

The Bird Paradise of Milmehdi Workshop

This is a work from the Milmehdi Workshop, known for its delicate weaving even among Qum rugs. It features an arch composition in the shape of a "Mehrab" (prayer niche), with a vase (goldan) at the bottom center. From there, a Tree of Life rises, and numerous small birds (doves and colorful birds) are woven into the branches and flowers of the field. This piece overlays the theme of "paradise" onto a classic vase motif, creating a rug with great depth.

The Detail and Luster Unique to Silk

Only with fine 100% silk threads can one distinguish the leaves of the Tree of Life, the ornamentation of the vase, and even the feathers of the small birds. The way the pink subtly changes expression with the angle of the light is also a unique characteristic of silk.
