When hung in a hallway or on a wall, an octagonal star medallion emerges from the deep wine-red ground. Both inside and outside the medallion, crimson and pink roses, small paisleys, and green leaves are densely packed, revealing individual roses as you get closer.

This is "Rose Garden," a work by the Rahimi workshop using Qum silk. At its center is an octagonal star medallion, with a small wreath of flowers at its core. Both inside and outside the medallion are densely filled with crimson and pink roses, paisleys (boteh), leaves, and small flowers. Above and below are protrusions of the medallion (sarlachak), and in the four corners are tendrils and rose spandrels. The deep wine-red ground supports the red of the roses, creating a composition of moist elegance.

Luster and Detail of 100% Silk

Because it is 100% silk, details become visible as you approach, from the floral wreath in the center of the medallion, to the individual roses densely packed on the ground, the tips of the paisley leaves, and the intricate continuous flowers of the border. The luster of the silk changes with the angle of the light, and the depth of the wine-red and the pink of the roses emerge, which is the true essence of Qum silk.

At 78×133cm, it's suitable as a wide entrance mat, framed as a wall decoration, in front of a desk in a study, or beside a bed. The deep wine-red ground harmonizes well with both white walls and wooden floors, adding a touch of moist splendor to the space.
