Full-Surface Eslimi Pattern from the Milmehdi Workshop

This piece is from the Milmehdi workshop, known for its delicate weaving among Qom carpets. On a cream field, Persian curving vines called "Eslimi" and multicolored flowers are densely woven across the entire surface. This composition, known as "Afshan" (scattered pattern), is an "all-over" style without a central medallion. The border features a mocha floral pattern that harmonizes gently with the cream of the field.

The Fineness and Luster Unique to Silk

Because of the fine 100% silk threads, each individual flower and vine outline scattered across the field, as well as the intricate decorations on the border, are clearly discernible. The cream subtly changes its expression with the angle of light, which is also unique to silk.
