Mirmehdi Workshop's Large Boteh and Bird Paradise

This is a work from the Mirmehdi workshop, known for its delicate weaving even among Qum carpets. A single large boteh (paisley pattern) is placed in the center of a blue-green (turquoise) field, with deer, peacocks, numerous small birds, trees, and flowers scattered around it. The composition is named "Paradise of Little Birds," and it's a piece where the curves of the boteh and the stories of the animals intertwine. The border features small boteh and flowers arranged on a deep green background.

The Intricacy and Sheen Unique to Silk

Because it's 100% silk with fine threads, you can discern every detail, from the curves of the boteh, the fur of the deer, the feathers of the peacock, to the outlines of the small birds. The way the blue-green quietly changes its expression with the angle of light is also unique to silk.
