Islimi All-Over Design by Amin Workshop

This is a work from the Amin Workshop, known for its delicate weaving even among Qom rugs. Islimi, Islamic-style curving tendrils, and multi-colored flowers are densely woven throughout the cream field. This "Salasar" (all-over) composition features an all-over design without a central medallion. The border is a light brown (ochre) floral pattern that gently harmonizes with the cream of the field. The artisan's signature is also included in the border.

Silk's Unique Fineness and Luster

Because it is made of 100% fine silk threads, you can discern the outlines of each flower and tendril scattered across the field, and even the characters of the artisan's signature in the border.
