In this piece, eight colors achievable with plant dyes are combined into one, with an orange-dominant, star-shaped diamond ground as the background. A turquoise elongated medallion in the center, intricate chandeliers suspended within mihrab-like arches above and below, and small mosque gates lining the four corners. The deep, clear orange, gentle golden brown, earthy red, and deep indigo cannot be achieved with chemical dyes.
