When laid at the entrance, a scene unfolds with a golden vase centrally placed on a deep navy ground, from which a tree of life ascends and descends, with pink roses and birds blooming across the entire surface. This special piece, woven with a wish for world peace, was also exhibited at the UN Office at Geneva.

UN Exhibition Piece from Mirmehdi Workshop (Vase + Tree of Life + Medallion)

This is a work from the Mirmehdi workshop, known for its delicate weaving among Qum silk products. It features a special design that combines three classical motifs into one piece: "Vase pattern (Goldani)," "Tree of Life (Drakhti)," and "Medallion (Tranj)," woven with a wish for world peace. A golden vase is placed in the center, with a tree of life spreading its branches upwards and downwards, an oval medallion, pink roses, and birds. The deep navy ground further enhances the pink roses and golden vase. This symbolic piece was also exhibited at the UN Office at Geneva.

Silk's Intricacy and Luster

Because of the fine 100% silk threads, you can discern the outline of the vase, the branches of the tree of life, the petals of the roses, and even the wings of the birds. Depending on the angle of the light, the deep navy sinks deeply, and the pink roses and golden vase emerge—a characteristic expression of silk. The more you look, the more birds you discover hidden in the branches.
