Among Qum silk rugs, this workshop specializes in compositions featuring rose clusters arranged in vertical stripes. Against a deep green background, red rose clusters and thin green vines are arranged vertically, creating a scene like looking down on a well-tended flowerbed. In the center is a small cream-colored medallion, with lachak (corner motifs) in the four corners, and the border is edged with a red rose arabesque on a gold ground. This rug reinterprets the classic lachak-o-toranj (corner and medallion) design with a garden motif.

Because it's 100% silk with fine threads, you can discern even the overlapping petals of the roses, the leaf veins, and the tiny flowers within the medallion. The deep green shimmers quietly with the angle of the light, making the red roses stand out.
