When laid on the floor, it reveals a scene of hunters on horseback chasing deer and gazelles across an ivory field. Upon closer inspection, you can see finely detailed depictions in each section: hunters in red, blue, and green attire, running dogs, raised swords, and even birds flying in the sky. It's as if a classical hunting scroll has unfurled on the rug.

Mazaaher Workshop's Mounted Hunting Scroll

This piece reproduces "Shekargah," a hunting scene favored by ancient Persian royalty and nobility, in Qom silk. Mounted hunters are scattered across an ivory ground, with deer, gazelles, dogs, clouds, rocks, and flowers intricately woven. The patterns on each hunter's costume, the horse's saddle, and even the fur of the animals are distinctly rendered, making the entire rug a stage for a story. A deep red border frames the rug like a picture.

The Precision and Luster Unique to Silk

Thanks to the fine 100% silk threads, you can discern even the expressions on the hunters' faces, the embroidery on their costumes, the horses' manes, and each individual gazelle horn. The ivory quietly shimmers with the angle of the light, and the colors of the hunters' costumes emerge.
