When placed in the living room, a large oval medallion emerges from the soft rosy brown ground, with a turquoise and gold sun emblem within and pink lachaks in the four corners. The soft misty rose border frames it beautifully, creating a scene where warmth and elegance coexist.

This piece is from the Milmehdi workshop, known for its delicate weaving among Qom silk rugs. It combines the classical "Lachak & Toranj" (corner + medallion) composition with a warm rosy brown field and a soft misty rose border. Inside the central oval medallion is a turquoise and gold sun emblem, and symmetrically arranged in the four corners are pink lachaks (corner designs). The entire ground is covered with intricate arabesques, and the border features a continuous floral pattern. This rug combines elegant curves with classical dignity.

The Intricacy and Sheen Unique to Silk

Because it is woven with tightly packed, fine 100% silk threads, every detail is discernible, from the sun emblem in the center of the medallion, the thin stems of the arabesques on the ground, and the lachaks in the four corners, to the continuous floral pattern on the border. The rosy brown gains luster depending on the angle of the light, and the turquoise accents stand out—a characteristic expression unique to silk.
