Description
When laid at the entrance, seven panels are arranged in a grid on a deep turquoise ground, with a different scene emerging in each. Vases, blooming flowers, small birds, deer—it's like a paradise where discoveries are made with each panel as you approach. Hidden within the fringes above and below is a procession of small lions.
Heshti (7-Panel Design) from the Bagherzadeh Workshop
This is a work from the Bagherzadeh Workshop, known for its delicate use of color among Qum silk carpets. It features a classical composition called "Kheshi" (brick/panel), where the field is divided into seven rectangular panels, each woven with different classical motifs (vases, flowers, small birds, deer). The field is turquoise, tightened by a blue border. Near the fringes, a procession of small lions lines up, making it a piece to enjoy discovering as you get closer.
The Precision and Luster Unique to Silk
Because of the fine 100% silk threads, every motif in each panel, the outlines of the vases, the feathers of the small birds, the legs of the deer, and even the lions near the fringes are discernible. The turquoise becomes bluer with the angle of light, and the various flowers in each panel emerge, a characteristic expression unique to silk.
How to Incorporate it into Your Life
Measuring 60 x 89 cm, it's the perfect size for an entrance mat, wall hanging, or framed as a centerpiece in your living room or study. The combination of turquoise and blue complements both white walls and wooden floors, adding a story and a touch of splendor to the space.
A one-of-a-kind item personally selected by the shop owner at the workshop in Qum. You can see the actual luster, the precision of each panel, and the procession of lions near the fringes in the video. Golestan, Persian Carpet Specialty Store.

Colours That Shift With the Angle
Thanks to the silk's sheen, the rug's character shifts with the viewing angle and the light.
