Description
When laid at the entrance, a large oval medallion emerges from a diverse field of beige and pastels, framed by a deep navy scalloped border. It is a piece where softness and dignity coexist.
Medallion by Albal Workshop (Rachak o Toranj)
This piece is from the Albal workshop, known for its delicate use of color even among Qum silk. It combines the classical "Rachak o Toranj" (corner + medallion) composition with a gentle field of beige and pastels and a deep navy scalloped border. Inside the central oval medallion is a bouquet of pink roses, and in the four corners are Rachak (corner elements). It is an elegant piece that combines soft tones with classical dignity.
The detail and luster unique to silk
Because it is made of fine 100% silk threads, you can discern even the intricate decorations of the roses in the center of the medallion, the Rachak in the four corners, and the scalloped edges of the border. The beige gains luster and the navy border deepens depending on the angle of the light, a characteristic expression of silk.
How to incorporate it into your life
At 81×125cm, it's the perfect size for an entrance mat, wall hanging, study, or framed as a centerpiece in your living room or study. The combination of colorful patterns and navy goes well with both white walls and wooden floors, adding both splendor and dignity to the space.
This one-of-a-kind item was chosen by the owner at a workshop in Qum. You can see the actual luster and intricate details in the video. Golestan Persian Carpet Specialty Store.
